Claudine Kamar

Art Director/Animator

Born in Ashrafieh, Beirut, I studied at Ecole de la charité. My childhood was full of challenges and fun, and fortunately I kept loads of great memories. Since my teenage years, I was passionate about cartoons drawings and creative arts so I chose Graphic design as my major at university. While still being a student, I have entered the the advertising and design industry and have now over 18 years of experience in advertising, visual communication and design. I am ambitious and passionate about everything creative – especially art and illustration.
Following my passion, I created in 2008 a cartoon series for kids named "Tod w Aya" in Lebanese dialect for a local TV station. After getting married and having kids, parenting was a challenging task, therefore, I was inspired and ended up creating a new book concept named "Lets nena and Tito" ", with the collaboration of my childhood bestfriend, the psychologist and psychotherapist Carla Assaf (who was also a student of the Ecole de la Charite)... which tackles daily life issues and real life stories for kids with parenting tips and explanation from the psychologist to better address and manage daily life issues, including coloring and drawing pages. I also created a fun page on insta: @claudinekamar full of funny relatable daily comics that reflect our daily struggle in a funny way. For the future, I still have a dream to pursue, a book for teens but won’t reveal more about it for the time being. In the end, I am very grateful for everything I’ve been through, grateful for my family and all the people who encouraged and helped me, and grateful for those who criticized me because they gave me a reason to fight for success.
